Weighted blankets consist of two components: the cover fabric and the weight material.
The upholstery fabric is often made from inexpensive cotton or man-made, non-recycled polyester. The weight material can consist of different materials. As a rule, plastic granules, metal plates or glass beads are used.
Our baenny® weighted blankets made of eco-Velvet are handmade and use materials that are certified according to ÖkoTex Standard 100. We do not use artificial fillings. Both our upholstery fabric and weight material are made from sustainable velvet fabric made from 600 recycled plastic bottles. You are not only doing something good for yourself, but also for the environment!
